David Wheeler - Relationship Counselling
David Wheeler is a Licensed Relationships Ireland Counsellor, having undergone formal training in Australia and ongoing training and clinical supervision in Ireland. David provides clients with a quality service that aims to meet their individual needs.
Individual & Couple Counselling
Relationship counselling assists clients to further identify and explore issues or concerns that have affected their relationships.
Counselling sessions are of approximately one hour and clients decide how often they attend. It is common practice that sessions are attended weekly in the early stages of counselling.
The number of sessions varies, depending on the presenting issues, and clients' ability and/or willingness to address behaviours affecting their relationship.
Counselling is provided to individuals and couples who may not be in a relationship, have already ended the relationship or are contemplating so.
In addition, individuals who have difficulty forming and maintaining relationships can benefit from the counselling process.
Marriage Preparation Courses - (Relationships Ireland Certificate Course)
Prior to getting married, many couples are required (by their church) to undergo a marriage preparation course. The course provided by Relationship Ireland counsellors is of approximately three hours duration; one counsellor to one couple. (Please view the MRCS web site for further information regarding course details and other venues where the course takes place. http://www.mrcs.ie or phone 1890 380 380) While the questionnaires couples complete prior to the course are generic, the course itself is tailored to meet the needs of each couple.

Couples are advised to book well in advance of their wedding date.
Working With Adolescents. (Relationships Ireland Teen Between Program)
David is also a trained Teen Between counsellor.
Teen Between is a specialised programme to assist individuals who are finding it difficult to cope with or understand the many issues associated with their parents' separation or divorce.
Teen Between also provides counselling for young adults who experienced parental separation or divorce during their teenage years.
